Job Description
This position directs and participates in the implementation of the planning, design, construction, operation, and administration of electrical distribution system including substations, and distribution line facilities for Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SVEC).
Job Related Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Must have zero (0) to seven (7) years’ experience in the power distribution industry
- Must be able to analyze complex, technical problems, exercise sound judgment requisite
- Must have strong computer skills
- Projected oriented self-starter
- A valid driver’s license is required
Valued but not Required Skills and Experience
- Previous Electric Cooperative Experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and the Rural Utility Service (RUS)
