Job Description
The hybrid shift Journeyman Lineman is a valued member of the Operations team, working safely and efficiently during afternoon hours to perform routine maintenance, respond to outages, and support emergency restoration efforts as needed. This schedule will consist of three rotating shifts, with employees working four days per week at ten hours per day. Job Related Qualifications
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years or a minimum of 8,000 hours of electric utility line work and distribution system maintenance experience
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, RUS, and other applicable codes and safety regulations
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a current DOT medical card.
• Capable of performing work in diverse weather conditions
• Skilled in working at heights with the use of safety equipment, including climbing poles and operating aerial lifts
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience working for a rural electric cooperative.
